About the position

The IT/DHS Project Manager at Abbott is responsible for leading the implementation of digital health solutions projects within the Diagnostics Division. This role involves managing project timelines, resources, and customer interactions to ensure successful project delivery while adhering to regulatory and quality standards. The Project Manager will work closely with sales and service teams, acting as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, and will be accountable for project outcomes, including scope management and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in translating management and customer needs into project goals.
  • Identify resource requirements and time schedules for all DHS related projects.
  • Develop an implementation plan, conduct risk assessments, and create contingency plans.
  • Ensure DHS projects integrate effectively with existing programs and strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies and project goals.
  • Accountable for the successful completion of project tasks on time and within budget.
  • Manage resources assigned to the project, including mentoring team members.
  • Interface with customers, internal clients, and project staff as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience, with at least two years in leadership/project management roles.
  • At least three years of experience in an IT role or related projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of project management experience, including large capital projects with IT software/hardware.
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting diagnostics.
  • Prior experience in sales, marketing, service, or support functions on digital products.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
