About the position

The Web Applications Programmer II at Golden 1 Credit Union is responsible for programming and implementing user interface, web service, and database applications for the organization's external website and employee intranet. This role involves analyzing, designing, and implementing technical solutions for both existing and new systems, while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The programmer will also provide guidance to less experienced team members and maintain the organization's technical architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Design, program, and implement solutions in .NET with a focus on user experience and cross-browser support.
  • Research, analyze, design, document, create test plans, and prototype enterprise web applications that integrate with third-party systems.
  • Analyze, program, troubleshoot, debug, and implement enterprise web interface components using various technologies including HTML, XHTML, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, ASP.NET, Visual C#.NET, SOAP, REST, jQuery, CSS, AJAX, JSON, and SQL.
  • Assist in managing all web programming, including content integration, file management, site maintenance, and database management.
  • Maintain knowledge of state and federal laws related to credit union compliance, including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws.
  • Collaborate with the Web Applications and IT Programming teams to program enterprise-wide applications and integrate them with third-party systems.
  • Responsible for interface programming and integration of web applications with backend databases.
  • Ensure quality assurance of all applications, including unit testing and source code control.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, security standards, and current technologies in web programming.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in web development and maintenance.
  • Minimum 4 years of .NET/C# experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of Sitecore experience.
  • Enterprise experience with Microsoft technologies (SQL Server, C#, WCF, ASP.NET, Entity Framework) and associated development environments (Visual Studio, TFS).
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing, troubleshooting, and implementing software code including HTML, XHTML, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, SOAP, REST, jQuery, CSS, AJAX, JSON, and SQL.
  • Experience with multi-tier software architecture, object-oriented design, requirement gathering, Agile and Waterfall SDLC.
