About the position

The IT Director of Infrastructure and Network is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of the organization's network and infrastructure systems. This position requires strong technical expertise and leadership skills to manage IT infrastructure in a rapidly evolving environment, focusing on optimizing and maintaining the infrastructure, fortifying networks, and safeguarding against cybersecurity threats.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of a multi-faceted IT infrastructure and networking strategy that aligns with organizational goals.
• Drive innovation by evaluating and recommending best in class technologies to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
• Lead the end-to-end management of the organization's hybrid IT infrastructure, including servers and storage.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of infrastructure and networking teams, ensuring high performance and security.
• Manage the design, implementation, and management of on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Oversee ongoing IT infrastructure migration to Microsoft Azure cloud.
• Ensure robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and tested.
• Manage infrastructure and network projects from conception through deployment, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
• Establish and monitor key performance metrics for infrastructure health and network uptime.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align resource allocation with business needs.
• Architect and oversee the implementation of a secure and high-performance network infrastructure.
• Guarantee the integrity and security of network operations with advanced security measures.
• Champion the adoption of emerging networking technologies.
• Develop and enforce network and data security policies and procedures.
• Support evaluation and procurement of enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with business leaders to leverage existing systems and applications.
• Cultivate a high-performance team culture and mentor IT professionals.
• Foster an environment of continuous learning and innovation within the team.
• Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and implement technology solutions.
• Negotiate contracts to optimize value and ensure vendor compliance.
• Establish strong relationships with technology partners to stay ahead of industry trends.
• Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Support development and enforcement of IT policies and procedures, conducting regular audits.
• Coordinate with legal and compliance functions to align with cybersecurity strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6-8 years of experience in IT infrastructure and network management, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
• In-depth expertise in cloud computing, virtualization, data center technologies, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Extensive knowledge of network design, configuration, and optimization.
• Strong understanding of business functions and technology's strategic support.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative leadership style.
• Excellent communication skills to distill complex technical concepts.
• Ability to prioritize competing initiatives and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Experience working with Managed Services Providers (MSPs) for infrastructure and/or network preferred.

• Certifications such as ITIL, CCNP/CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent are preferred.
