About the position

The Director of Business Operations at OCI will serve as the Chief of Staff to the VP of AI2 Infrastructure Compute & Software, responsible for implementing strategic priorities, managing key initiatives, and overseeing a team of Technical Project Managers (TPMs). This role is crucial in ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery while fostering strong relationships within a rapidly growing and complex environment. The ideal candidate will be an inclusive leader with excellent communication skills, capable of driving operational excellence and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the VP to develop and drive strategic initiatives that align with the organization's goals.
  • Establish and maintain the rhythm of the business, including executive team meetings and staff meetings.
  • Safeguard the health and effectiveness of the organization, addressing culture and communication issues.
  • Lead and mentor a team of TPMs to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Facilitate collaboration across various departments to drive efficiencies and improve results.
  • Develop a robust organization performance monitoring framework and provide regular reports to the VP.
  • Lead special projects and strategic initiatives from conception to successful completion.

Requirements

  • BS in Business Administration or related field; MS preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in strategy, operations, and project management.
  • Strong leadership skills to drive change and influence decision-making practices.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking capabilities with a proven track record of translating strategy into actionable plans.
  • Experience in building and leading high-performing teams with a focus on mentorship and development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Adaptable and flexible, managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and exceptional time management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and data analysis tools is advantageous.
