About the position

The IT eCommerce Technical Analyst role is a long-term contract position focused on supporting and optimizing the technical infrastructure of eCommerce platforms. This position is essential for ensuring efficient online operations and involves collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance customer experience and drive sales.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in collaboration with developers, third-party vendors, and IT support teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document technical requirements for eCommerce projects, new features, and integrations.
  • Coordinate and support the integration of third-party applications, plugins, and APIs with the eCommerce platform, including payment gateways, inventory systems, and CRM.
  • Conduct thorough testing of new features, updates, and integrations to ensure functionality, performance, and security.
  • Develop and maintain test scripts, user guides, and documentation for system changes.
  • Generate and analyze data on platform performance, user behavior, and other key metrics using tools like Google Analytics, SQL, or BI software.
  • Understand eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Instacart, Shopperkit) and their technical requirements.
  • Work closely with development vendors, operations, and business teams to implement, monitor, and improve eCommerce solutions that enhance customer experience and drive sales.
  • Engage in daily tasks such as testing and validation, documentation, learning our systems from E-Comm through POS, triggering IT file pushes.
  • Utilize strong communication and project management skills in working with the technical team and gathering requirements.

Requirements

  • Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role or field
  • Demonstrated proficiency in CRM, Database Object, Database System, DB2 Database, and Microsoft
  • Proven experience in AB Testing and Backup Technologies
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Business Intelligence (BI)
  • Ability to create dashboards and perform data analysis
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proactive and able to take initiative when solving unexpected problems
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the relevant country.
