About the position

The IT Enterprise Applications Analyst - College Intern position at NextEra Energy is designed for students actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree program or higher. The intern will analyze business processes and practices to assist in the design and implementation of IT solutions on the SAP platform, focusing on meeting customer needs and business initiatives. This role involves collaboration with business finance resources to understand demands and translate them into business cases, technical requirements, and functional specifications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes and practices to design and implement IT solutions on the SAP platform.
• Collaborate with business finance resources to understand business demands and create business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into various outputs including business cases, technical requirements, and functional specifications.
• Assist the department with assigned projects and complete challenging assignments.
• Present final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of financial concepts and terminologies.
• Strong analytical skills within the functional area.
• Ability to devise or modify procedures to solve routine problems.
• Good interpersonal skills with integrity and a strong work ethic.
• Active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Nice-to-haves

• General knowledge of SAP, data modeling, report & input template development, script logic, data loading and transformations.
• Good analytical and organizational skills and knowledge of SAP and financial planning.
