About the position

The IT/ERP Support Specialist role is designed to ensure the smooth operation of the company's IT infrastructure and ERP systems. This position involves providing Level I & II service desk support, managing daily corporate backups, configuring and troubleshooting LAN and office equipment, and developing user help resources. The role requires a strong understanding of ERP systems and a customer service-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain ERP system.
  • Customize ERP system to meet business needs.
  • Train staff on ERP system.
  • Assist in the implementation of ERP system and modules.
  • Provide Level I & II Service Desk Support.
  • Escalate problems to senior team members when required.
  • Record, track, and document the service desk request problem-solving process.
  • Test repairs to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
  • Perform basic LAN configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Develop help sheets and FAQ lists for end users.
  • Responsible for daily corporate backups.
  • Implement and configure printers, scanners, and copiers.
  • Perform basic RingCentral phone configuration.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience with ERP system.
  • 2+ years of help desk/administration experience.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong experience with desktop operating systems.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly, business-friendly, and technical language.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Experience working in an ITIL-driven environment, and working knowledge of ITIL principles and processes (a plus).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with UPS/FedEx software and hardware (a plus).
  • Preferred Certifications: A+ certified or similar.
  • Other certifications helpful, but not required.
