About the position

The Sr. IT Facility Service Engineer is responsible for overseeing IT installations at various construction sites for Performance Food Group's Operating Companies (OpCos). This role involves collaboration with local construction teams, network teams, server teams, and desk support to ensure effective IT installation and adherence to company standards. The position requires strong relationship-building skills and a thorough understanding of IT functions within a construction environment, with a travel requirement of up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain effective relationships with leadership and staff at assigned construction sites.
• Understand high-level business functions from an IT perspective.
• Keep abreast of technology in use at assigned locations.
• Liaise between OpCo leadership, desk support, network engineers, cabling teams, and external vendors for coordination of physical IT installation.
• Leverage relationships to ensure best practices and company standards are observed.
• Lead or assist with the coordination of IT installation at various construction sites, developing and maintaining necessary installation budget projects.
• Plan and coordinate with various teams enterprise-wide and manage external vendor relationships.
• Understand floor plans to ensure alignment with company standards.
• Work comfortably on construction sites.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
• 7-10 Years of relevant experience
• Must be close to an airport; requires 50% travel
• Experience working at construction sites

Nice-to-haves

• Associates/2-year Technical degree
• 10+ years of relevant experience
