About the position

The IT Field Operations Technician is a customer-facing role that requires direct interaction with clients, customers, and vendors. The technician will provide consulting and training on network facilities and computer systems, lead computer network initiatives, and support VIP personnel at Agency Headquarters. The position involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and documenting network and computer systems, as well as recommending new technologies and upgrades to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support through on-site product/solution installation and sustainment.
• Oversee and perform diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
• Check and approve operational quality of solution components.
• Instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of the solution.
• Serve as company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
• Interpret customers' needs and clarify the assignment of responsibility for problem resolution.
• Support various aspects of field support including system hardware, software, network, and other technical infrastructure components.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain DHS EOD.
• Bachelor's degree and five or more years of related experience or equivalent experience.
• Outstanding Customer Service Skills.
• Strong Windows 10 Desktop Support experience.
• Moderate knowledge of Windows Server Systems Administration, including Active Directory, NTFS Permissions, SMB Network Share Permissions, and Print Server Management.
• Fundamental LAN troubleshooting experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Microsoft PowerShell experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
• Moderate Network troubleshooting knowledge (Network+, CCNA or above).
