About the position

The IT Field Service Technician role involves providing on-site technical support and repair services to customers in the Ocala, FL area. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining various hardware and software systems, with a focus on mechanical and printer skills. This position requires excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a field environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide break-fix troubleshooting and repair services to customers.
• Diagnose machine performance problems and provide solutions.
• Install, repair, and troubleshoot workstations, printers, scanners, routers, and switches.
• Install and repair servers and provide technical support in LAN-WAN environments.
• Perform desk-side technical support for hardware and software issues.
• Conduct preventative maintenance per OEM specifications.
• Maintain requisite technical competence to support hardware and software.
• Handle general territory responsibilities and provide quality customer support.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License.
• CompTIA A+ certification.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience in a field service technician role.
• Mechanical abilities and printer skills.
• PC repair and software troubleshooting experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with wide format printers.
• Ability to travel overnight and pull after-hours on-call duty.
