About the position

The IT Field Service Technician position at OLAP Systems International Private Limited involves a combination of remote and on-site work, primarily focused on providing technical support to various clients. The technician will be responsible for resolving issues related to printers, laptops, servers, and networking equipment. The role requires a hands-on approach, as the technician will be dispatched to customer sites to address technical problems and provide general IT support. The work is dynamic, with a significant portion of the day spent traveling to different client locations, making it essential for the technician to have strong customer service skills and technical aptitude. The day-to-day responsibilities include responding to dispatch calls for break-fix and IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) requests, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and performing administrative tasks related to service requests. The technician will spend approximately 33% of their time on hardware issues, 33% on travel, and 34% on administrative duties. The position requires the ability to work independently and efficiently manage time while ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients, which may include retailers and banks. Candidates should be prepared for a full-time schedule, working Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM. The role is classified as temporary with the potential for a temp-to-hire transition, offering a pay range of $21 to $22 per hour. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • 2 years of experience with Active Directory.
  • 1 year of help desk experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong technical aptitude and hands-on field tech experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ServiceNow is a plus.
  • Familiarity with computer networking.
