About the position

The IT Field Support Tech is a crucial member of the IT team at Wellstar MCG Health, responsible for providing comprehensive hardware and software support to end users, including computers, printers, mobile devices, and related peripherals. This role involves assisting with the life cycle technology refresh and the provisioning and deployment of new end-user device technology within a healthcare environment. The IT Field Support Tech will be tasked with tagging technology equipment with asset tags, recording assets, imaging, updating, deploying, and managing the surplus of all end-user technology at WMCG Health. The position requires flexibility, as the daily work schedule and location may vary based on the organization's needs. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about technology and customer service, and who thrive in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hardware and software support to end users of computers, printers, mobile devices, and related peripherals.
  • Assist with life cycle technology refresh and new technology provisioning and deployments.
  • Tag technology equipment with asset tags and record assets accurately.
  • Image, update, deploy, and manage surplus of all end-user technology.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Adhere to deadlines and manage time effectively.

Requirements

  • Vocational or technical training or degree in Information Technology.
  • 1 year or more of experience in End User Device Support.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Technical knowledge of software, hardware, network applications, and desktop applications, including Apple and Microsoft products.
  • Ability to analyze, plan, and resolve issues effectively.
