About the position

The IT Field Support Technician IV role at Ascendion focuses on maintaining and repairing hardware and computer devices, providing onsite support to users, and ensuring efficient operation of IT systems. Responsibilities

• Support users onsite through Help Desk using ticketing systems, unblocking users and methodical troubleshooting.
• Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals.
• Document, maintain, upgrade or replace hardware and software systems.
• Support and maintain user account information including rights, security, and systems groups.
• Train employees, identify, analyze, and repair product failures, orders and replace parts as needed.
• Determine and recommend which products or services best fit the customers' needs.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent in the field and 8+ years professional experience.
• Experience with IT Tools, NDN and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Basic problem-solving and analysis skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 10+ years professional experience preferred.
• Experience in methodical troubleshooting.
• Help Desk expertise using multiple ticketing systems preferred.
