About the position

The IT Field Support Technician or Desktop Support Technician role is focused on providing technical support and assistance to users in a field environment. This position requires a strong understanding of various IT systems and methodologies, particularly in Active Directory, Windows OS, and SCCM. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting software and hardware issues, ensuring a high level of customer service and support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for hardware and software issues in a field environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Active Directory and Windows operating systems.
  • Utilize SCCM for software deployment and management.
  • Implement ITIL methodologies to improve service delivery and support processes.
  • Assist users with technical inquiries and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
  • 2 years of specialized experience with Active Directory, Windows OS, SCCM, and ITIL methodologies.
  • 1 year of technical support experience preferred.
  • 1 year of experience with software troubleshooting preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in computer hardware repair (1 year preferred).
  • Experience in technical support (1 year preferred).
  • Experience in software troubleshooting (1 year preferred).
