About the position

The IT Field Support Technician is responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues, repairing and replacing damaged components, and ensuring the security of client and server computers. This role involves providing support to users facing challenges with their computers and network devices, maintaining technical documentation, and testing new hardware and software prior to full-scale installation.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
  • Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components
  • Ensuring the security of clients and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software
  • Supporting users with challenges related to computers and network devices
  • Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly
  • Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
  • 2 years of specialized experience with Active Directory, Windows OS, SCCM, ITIL Methodologies
  • 1 year of technical support experience preferred
  • 1 year of experience with software troubleshooting preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
