About the position

The IT Field Support Technician role at Cemstone involves providing technical support for mobile devices and IT technologies, primarily in a manufacturing environment. The technician will be responsible for configuring, updating, and troubleshooting devices, ensuring smooth operations both onsite and at remote locations. This position requires a blend of technical skills and customer service, as the technician will handle support calls and assist with various IT equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support mobile devices, computer software, and network equipment.
• Answer support calls and provide technical assistance.
• Install and configure computer hardware and software.
• Support IT equipment in a manufacturing location.
• Track asset disposal and manage inventory.
• Travel to remote sites as needed for support.
• Work occasional late evening shifts and early mornings.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience with Microsoft Windows.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Android operating systems.
• Experience with desktop computer hardware.
• Experience with wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, Cellular).
• Basic understanding of data networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, etc.).
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Nice-to-haves

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1 year of help desk experience preferred.
