About the position

The IT Field Technician role involves providing on-site and remote technical support to clients, primarily small to mid-size businesses in the Greater Tampa Bay area. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of IT support experience, including server management, and emphasizes strong networking skills and troubleshooting abilities. The technician will work independently and must have reliable transportation to travel to various client locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to LAN/WAN and wireless networks.
• Configure routers and manage network settings.
• Remove viruses, spyware, and malware using various tools.
• Lift and transport computers, small servers, and equipment as needed.
• Follow directions and maintain attention to detail in all tasks.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of IT support experience, including server management.
• Strong networking skills and knowledge of LAN/WAN and wireless networks.
• Experience with router configurations.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with virus/malware removal tools.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Nice-to-haves

• CompTIA A+ certification.
