About the position

The IT Field Technician position is a critical role within one of the largest homebuilders in the United States, aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of their IT operations. This position is based in Scottsdale, AZ, where the technician will report to the divisional office daily before heading out to various community build sites in the area. The primary responsibility of the Field Technician is to ensure that the build sites are properly set up with the necessary technology and connectivity solutions. This includes installing cable modems, printers, and new workstations, as well as setting up StarLink satellite internet and Cradle Points for cellular internet connections. The technician will also be responsible for troubleshooting local area networks (LAN) to ensure seamless connectivity and functionality at these sites. In addition to the hands-on fieldwork, the role also encompasses providing support for standard service desk issues at the corporate office. This includes troubleshooting software problems, internet connectivity issues, and managing Active Directory and Office 365 environments. The technician will also be involved in setting up audio/visual (A/V) equipment, which is essential for meetings and presentations. Given the nature of the role, a high level of customer service is paramount, as the technician will be interacting with non-technical staff and must deliver excellent experiences to ensure their needs are met effectively.
