About the position

Bear Techs is seeking computer hardware and low voltage cabling technicians to service businesses in the Fort Lauderdale area. As a fast-growing IT services company based in St. Louis, Missouri, Bear Techs is expanding its operations to Fort Lauderdale and the surrounding regions. We specialize in providing on-site IT services to a diverse range of clients, including medical offices, hospitals, retail chains, distribution centers, warehouses, car dealerships, and financial institutions. Our services encompass break/fix repairs and replacements, equipment moves, adds, changes, new store installations and remodels, low-voltage cabling and repairs, as well as multi-site project rollouts and implementations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering professional customer service, effectively communicating with on-site contacts and remote stakeholders, and maintaining detailed documentation of work performed. Timely delivery of service is crucial, along with technical troubleshooting of networks and hardware. The role also involves low-voltage cabling and terminations, computer hardware repair, replacement and upgrades, new installations and projects, printer maintenance and repair, as well as working with camera systems and digital signage. Bear Techs is committed to training motivated individuals who are eager to maximize their earning potential, with the possibility of earning between $65,000 and $100,000 annually.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional customer service to clients.
  • Communicate effectively with on-site contacts and remote stakeholders.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed.
  • Deliver timely service to clients.
  • Perform network and hardware technical troubleshooting.
  • Execute low-voltage cabling and terminations.
  • Conduct computer hardware repairs and replacements.
  • Manage new installations and projects.
  • Perform printer maintenance and repair.
  • Work with camera systems and digital signage.

Requirements

  • Some college coursework completed.
  • Low-voltage/wiring experience is preferred.
  • Computer hardware training or experience (A+ certification or equivalent).
  • Experience in technical support is required.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn.
  • Passionate about technology.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Reliable transportation (wagon, SUV, or van is a plus).
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Android or other smartphones with a camera.
