About the position

The IT Field Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the technical environment for clients by addressing system requirements, installing upgrades, and monitoring system performance. This position involves deploying hardware solutions across various Kintegra Health sites and providing support for end-user needs related to network cabling, printers, and other technical equipment. The technician will also assist with desktop support and travel between multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Support medical, behavioral health, and dental offices within a service radius.
  • Establish system by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of PC and server hardware, software, LAN and WAN networks.
  • Maintain system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, troubleshooting system hardware, software, and networks.
  • Secure system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing disaster recovery policies and procedures.
  • Prepare users by designing and conducting training programs; providing references and support.
  • Upgrade system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
  • Assist with occasional after-hour projects as required.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Information Technology or IT certifications.
  • 2+ years work experience preferred.
  • Professional acumen with all users.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Windows and Citrix Environments, routers, and switches.
  • Ability to troubleshoot end-user issues while working with the Service Desk.
  • Ability to provide end-user training.
  • Experience with Remote control, Logmein, command-line utilities.
  • Knowledge of Remote Access (VPN, Remote Desktop Connection, Terminal Server).
  • Experience with various software installations and battery backups.
  • Knowledge of video conferencing and security systems.
  • Experience with computer hardware installation/replacement and network cabling.
