Hardy Industries is seeking dedicated I.T. and Telecom technicians to join our team across the nation. This position is not your typical I.T. technician role; it involves a diverse range of tasks from installing operating systems on laptops to physically running cables through buildings and configuring phone lines. Technicians will be expected to adapt quickly to various I.T. challenges and learn new skills in areas that may be unfamiliar. Our clients require technicians who are proficient in working with PCs and printers, making this knowledge a valuable asset for applicants. The role demands a reliable vehicle, as public transportation is not an option. Candidates must have at least one year of experience in the field, along with a CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification, or alternatively, five years of verifiable I.T. or Telecom experience. While printer experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. Technicians will need to possess basic computer maintenance and networking tools, as well as a laptop with Ethernet capability. Additionally, being available for on-call duties 24/7 is a requirement, along with having a smartphone with hotspot capabilities. The position offers flexibility in scheduling, and technicians will be compensated hourly while on-site. As a 1099 contractor, travel pay will be provided, and the work area will typically cover an 80-mile radius. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, adherence to safety protocols, including social distancing and the use of personal protective equipment, is mandatory during all job assignments. Hardy Industries prides itself on delivering top-notch I.T. solutions to a variety of sectors, including retail, medical, and professional offices, ensuring that their technology remains current and efficient.
