The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of IT hardware assets, ensuring compliance with asset management policies and procedures, and facilitating the proper disposition of hardware assets. This position requires an active Secret clearance and offers a competitive salary range of $50,000.00 - $63,000.00 annually, depending on experience, education, and relevant certifications. In this role, the IT Hardware Asset Manager will have functional responsibilities that include updating databases, researching inventory discrepancies, and conducting monthly inventory scan audits. The candidate will be expected to actively participate as a constructive team member in all asset management requirements. Additionally, the manager will support hardware disposition needs, which may involve sanitization facilitation, excessing old or no longer needed assets, and the destruction of CDs and hard drives when necessary. The position also entails executing asset management functions across multiple locations, requiring effective planning and coordination based on access requirements. The successful candidate will be expected to uphold the asset management policies and procedures, ensuring that all activities align with the company's standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities

  • Update databases related to IT hardware assets.
  • Research inventory discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
  • Complete recurring monthly inventory scan audits.
  • Support hardware disposition needs, including sanitization and destruction of old assets.
  • Uphold asset management policies and procedures.
  • Execute asset management functions at multiple locations, coordinating access as required.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma (or GED) and 4 years of general experience; or an Associate's degree and 2 years of general experience; or a Bachelor's degree with no experience required.
  • Must have 2 years of directly related experience in Asset Management, Computer Operations, Computer Maintenance, Help Desk, or a related technical field.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Must be familiar with IT hardware.
  • Must have, or be able to obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Remedy and its Asset Management module.
  • Familiarity with MS Office products.
