About the position

The IT Hardware Asset Manager position at Aegis Aerospace, Inc. is a critical role based at Schriever AFB in Colorado Springs, CO. This position requires an active Secret clearance and offers a competitive salary range of $50,000.00 to $63,000.00 annually, depending on the candidate's experience, education, and relevant certifications. In this role, the IT Hardware Asset Manager will be tasked with updating databases, researching inventory discrepancies, and conducting recurring monthly inventory scan audits. The candidate will also support hardware disposition needs, which may include sanitization facilitation, excessing old or no longer needed assets, and the destruction of CDs and hard drives when necessary. The position requires a proactive approach to asset management, including planning and coordinating access to assets across multiple locations based on operational requirements. The successful candidate will have a strong background in asset management, computer operations, and maintenance, with at least two years of directly related experience. Familiarity with IT hardware and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs is essential. The role also emphasizes the importance of teamwork and collaboration in achieving asset management goals.

Responsibilities

  • Update databases related to IT hardware assets.
  • Research inventory discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
  • Complete recurring monthly inventory scan audits.
  • Support hardware disposition needs, including sanitization and destruction of old assets.
  • Uphold asset management policies and procedures.
  • Execute asset management functions at multiple locations by planning and coordinating access.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years of general experience; or an Associate's degree with 2 years of general experience; or a Bachelor's degree with no experience required.
  • 2 years of directly related experience in Asset Management, Computer Operations, or Help Desk.
  • Familiarity with IT hardware and the ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Must have or be able to obtain an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Remedy and its Asset Management module.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
