About the position

The IT Help Desk Agent will handle incoming tier 1 technical help desk support for the IT department. Acting as point of contact for end user requests including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of user equipment. Assisting all departments with ensuring operational needs are met in a timely manner. Position will escalate issues as needed to senior IT staff.

Responsibilities

  • Process trouble tickets using Service Now system.
  • Create/Manage User accounts in multiple systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve common Windows 10/11 desktop OS and printing issues.
  • Facilitate Moves, adds, and changes of departmental equipment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Deliver 'I Am Proud' service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
  • Escalate issues appropriately.

Requirements

  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
  • Excellent understanding of Windows 10/11 OS environment and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Possess basic understanding of network concepts.
  • Associate degree, certifications, or equivalent experience/training desired.
  • 1 to 2 years IT Help Desk experience highly desired.
  • High Level of mechanical and technical aptitude.

Nice-to-haves

  • A+ Certification desired.
  • Additional technical certifications considered.
