About the position

The IT Help Desk Analyst position is a contract role based in Richmond, VA, with a duration of 18+ months. This position requires the analyst to provide onsite support to users, addressing various IT-related issues and ensuring smooth operation of IT services. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software problems, assisting users with technical inquiries, and maintaining documentation of support requests and resolutions. The analyst will work closely with other IT staff to resolve complex issues and may also be involved in training users on new technologies and systems. The work schedule is set for 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday, with an expected workload of 40 hours per week. The pay for this position ranges from $30 to $35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to end-users for hardware and software issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems in a timely manner.
  • Document support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Assist users with technical inquiries and provide guidance on IT services.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to resolve complex issues.
  • Train users on new technologies and systems as needed.

Requirements

  • 1 year of help desk experience (preferred).
  • 1 year of experience with Windows operating systems (preferred).
