About the position

The IT Help Desk Support Specialist - Level 2 at ABC Imaging is responsible for providing advanced technical support for both Apple Mac and Windows-based systems. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational efficiency of the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring that user issues are resolved promptly and effectively. The specialist will engage in various tasks, including system installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software, while also managing user accounts and product inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 technical support for Apple Mac and Windows-based computers and servers.
  • Install operating systems, perform migrations, and upgrades.
  • Install and maintain virtual machines.
  • Set up new or relocate existing computer hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot user issues as they arise.
  • Apply knowledge of cybersecurity and response methods.
  • Run CAT6 cables and perform terminations as needed.
  • Conduct maintenance and updates on servers and workstations.
  • Update Active Directory for users.
  • Manage basic knowledge of camera systems and access control.
  • Identify technical problems and resolve issues quickly.
  • Administer Microsoft Office 365.
  • Maintain product inventory and order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Work with large format printers and print servers.
  • Utilize basic knowledge of Caldera and Oris print software.
  • Apply basic knowledge of VoIP phones.
  • Manage basic knowledge of Mobile Device Management (MDM).
  • Utilize basic knowledge of PSA's and RMM's.
  • Demonstrate basic project management skills.
  • Work on time-sensitive tasks with hard deadlines.
  • Handle multiple duties or projects simultaneously.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT support, particularly with Apple Mac and Windows systems.
  • Familiarity with operating system installations and upgrades.
  • Experience with virtual machine setup and maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and response methods.
  • Experience with network cabling and terminations (CAT6).
  • Familiarity with server and workstation maintenance.
  • Experience with Active Directory management.
  • Basic understanding of camera systems and access control.
  • Ability to manage Microsoft Office 365 administration.
  • Experience with inventory management and supply ordering.
  • Familiarity with large format printers and print servers.
  • Basic knowledge of print software such as Caldera and Oris.
  • Understanding of VoIP phone systems.
  • Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
  • Basic knowledge of Professional Services Automation (PSA) and Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools.
  • Project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
