About the position

The IT Help Desk Tech 2 position at Gila River Resorts & Casinos is responsible for providing advanced technical assistance to system users, ensuring excellent guest service experiences. This role involves troubleshooting software and hardware issues, managing small projects related to IT implementations, and maintaining accurate records of support requests.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests.
  • Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes incoming requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with software and hardware.
  • Manages small projects involved with hardware and software implementation and updates.
  • Logs and tracks calls using the IT ticketing system, maintaining history records and related problem documentation.
  • Installs, configures, and supports server and client workstations.
  • Trains users on software and hardware.
  • Maintains a dependable work attendance record with infrequent absences or lateness.
  • Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science or related major preferred.
  • Experience and/or training in technical support required.
  • Valid AZ driver's license and clean driving record for the past five years.
  • Excellent guest service skills and strong telephone etiquette.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to follow up and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with software troubleshooting.
  • Mid-level technical support experience.
