About the position

The IT Help Desk Technician Level 1 position at Schomp Automotive Group is a full-time role based in Highlands Ranch, CO, with a pay range of $22.00 to $27.00 per hour. This position is crucial in providing first-level technical support to end-users across Schomp dealerships located in Aurora, Highlands Ranch, and Littleton, CO. The technician will be responsible for assisting users with various IT-related issues, ensuring that all requests are logged and tracked in the ticketing system. The role requires a proactive approach to diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems, as well as guiding users through step-by-step solutions to their technical issues. In addition to providing support, the technician will also perform routine maintenance on IT systems and infrastructure, install and configure software and hardware, and assist with new employee IT orientation. Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person, including new employee IT orientation.
  • Prioritize, respond to and resolve IT-related issues promptly, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Log and track all support requests in the ticketing system.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Guide users through step-by-step solutions for technical issues.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support teams or vendors as necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance on IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, and update software and hardware as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • 0-2 years Helpdesk Technician experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills required.
  • Research and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver license.
  • Must possess and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
