About the position

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician (part-time) for the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. This position is primarily focused on providing end-user support and will involve assisting users in resolving issues related to hardware, software, audio-visual, and networking components. The IT Help Desk Technician will be responsible for delivering technical support services for desktop and classroom users across one primary location and three satellite locations, with the furthest satellite being approximately 500 yards from the primary location. The role requires direct interaction with community members and stakeholders of the organization, ensuring that their technical issues are addressed promptly and effectively. The technician will assist the Unit Computing Manager with Help Desk responsibilities, which include providing support via phone and email. Additionally, the technician may be assigned other related duties as necessary, all under the close supervision of a full-time IT employee. This position is part-time, requiring 15-30 hours of work per week, and it mandates a fully on-site work arrangement. The hourly pay for this position is set at $26.

Requirements
