About the position

The IT Help Desk Technician will provide comprehensive support services for a variety of IT and audiovisual issues, ensuring the availability and functionality of systems. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining hardware and software, and delivering customer support to minimize interruptions in business activities. The technician will also conduct preventive maintenance, prepare reports, and represent the organization in technical leadership roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support services on a wide range of IT and AV issues, interpreting IT policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and repair on IT and AV equipment.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software to ensure system availability and functionality.
  • Provide customer support by troubleshooting complex problems and offering advice to minimize interruptions in business activities.
  • Monitor the availability and functionality of networks and systems, detecting and reporting problems.
  • Participate in testing and installing systems modifications and upgrades.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field of study.
  • 4+ years of experience in IT support/Helpdesk.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Active CompTIA Security+ certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in software troubleshooting.
  • Ability to relocate before starting work.
