About the position

The IT Helpdesk Administrator at Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital Network (NRHN) is responsible for leading the helpdesk operations, assisting both on-site and remote staff with technology tools, and resolving service requests. This role involves planning and coordinating the setup and maintenance of computing devices, managing software licenses, and supporting daily IT operations. The administrator will also back up the IT Systems Administrator and help monitor network activity, ensuring the security and robustness of NRHN's infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the NRHN helpdesk and assist on-site and remote staff with technology tools.
• Respond to service requests and resolve problems as they arise.
• Plan and coordinate the configuration, setup, update, and upgrade of computing devices, peripherals, and phones.
• Maintain an inventory of NRHN hardware and installed software.
• Manage software license inventories and contribute to assigned projects.
• Register and decommission user accounts, assigning proper access to information resources and applications.
• Support general daily IT operations and act as the primary backup for the IT Systems Administrator.
• Assist with managing and monitoring network activity, investigating and troubleshooting network servers and security issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred, or equivalent experience and education.
• Experience in the healthcare and Information Technology industry preferred.
• Experience in IT customer service, PC hardware, and software configuration.
• Demonstrated track record of successful interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
