This includes helping students connect to the OCC-Public wireless network, navigating the D2L-Brightspace platform, utilizing the MS Office suite, and managing their MyOCC and Student Planning accounts. The role also involves providing support for general OCC-related technology inquiries, ensuring that students can effectively use the resources available to them. In addition to direct student support, IT Helpdesk Computer Assistants are responsible for monitoring equipment within the library, performing general housekeeping duties, and completing other tasks as assigned. The position is structured to allow for a maximum of 20 hours of work per week while classes are in session, with the possibility of additional hours during college breaks.
