About the position

As an IT HRIS/HRIC Solutions Data Architect at World Wide Technology, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the data architecture that supports critical HR business processes. Your primary responsibility will be to model, design, and frame business scenarios that are meaningful and impactful to HR operations. You will collaborate closely with a diverse team of analysts, developers, data engineers, architects, and data scientists to align technical solutions with the stated HR business problems. This role requires a strong understanding of HR processes, including recruitment, payroll, benefits administration, incentive compensation, performance management, and compliance, as well as experience with HR data privacy and security regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA. In this position, you will develop experimental and analytic plans for data modeling, matching algorithms, and exploratory data science. You will be responsible for preparing accurate database design and architecture reports and diagrams for management and executive teams, ensuring that all designs adhere to company and regulatory data privacy requirements. You will also validate deliverables to ensure they meet architectural design standards and maintain the company's data quality by actively evaluating data processing for accuracy, timeliness, completeness, consistency, and validity. Your role will also involve building relationships with business and development teams, providing coaching and mentorship to enhance data maturity, and communicating with key stakeholders to solicit feedback and input on potential process improvements. Responsibilities

  • Model, design, and frame business scenarios that impact critical HR business processes and decisions.
  • Collaborate with analysts, developers, data engineers, architects, data scientists, and other domain experts to match technical solutions to HR business problems.
  • Develop experimental and analytic plans for data modeling, matching algorithms, and exploratory data science.
  • Prepare accurate database design and architecture reports and diagrams for management and executive teams, focusing on HR data.
  • Ensure design coherence to all company and regulatory data privacy requirements.
  • Clarify technical, business, and non-functional requirements for project clarity and execution.
  • Validate deliverables and adherence to architectural design.
  • Build and enhance data catalog and document data process flow details.
  • Research and evaluate sources of information to determine limitations in quality, reliability, performance, and usability.
  • Maintain company data quality standards by evaluating data processing for accuracy, timeliness, completeness, consistency, and validity.
  • Build relationships with business and development teams.
  • Provide timely coaching and mentorship to enhance data maturation.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders to solicit feedback and input on potential process improvements.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in computer science, MIS, computer engineering, or relevant work experience required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience manipulating large datasets and using relational and multidimensional databases both on-prem and in the cloud.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, including recruitment, payroll, benefits administration, incentive compensation, performance management, and compliance.
  • Experience with HR data privacy and security regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
  • Knowledge of scaling large data storage and processing, queues/pipeline-processing.
  • Familiarity with basic principles of distributed computing and/or distributed databases.
  • Understanding of reporting and analytical software such as Webfocus, Power BI, Tableau, Oracle EPM, Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), or similar tools is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle modules and supporting analytics modules.
  • Experience with HRIS/HCM systems like ADP, Oracle, Paycor, UKG, Callidus, and Workday.
  • Understanding and experience with data extraction (ETL) methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with low-code or no-code solutions and platforms.
  • Experience with data integration and data mapping tools.
  • Experience with REST-based APIs, Data Streaming, and various data integration.
  • Experience collaborating with clients to solve complex problems.
  • Agile or Scaled development methodologies experience is a plus.
