About the position
The IT Infrastructure Support Analyst position at the State of Nebraska involves providing technical support for personal computer configuration, installation, and troubleshooting across various state agencies. The role focuses on ensuring the functionality of desktops and laptops, including software application support and network troubleshooting, primarily in a Windows 10 environment. This position is essential for maintaining operational efficiency within the state's IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Support all State of Nebraska agencies in the assigned region, including correctional facilities.
- Configure and install personal computers and laptops at client work areas.
- Troubleshoot and service laser printers.
- Provide mobile device delivery and support.
- Troubleshoot and maintain Ethernet and Local Area Networks on a limited basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the classification.
Requirements
- Associate degree in computer science and two years of related technical and business experience.
- Two years of related technical and business experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
- Post high school coursework in computer science and three years of related technical and business experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting PCs in a large Enterprise network.
- Experience in providing technical support and Active Directory troubleshooting/administration.
- Experience performing basic problem solving of network, printer, and server issues.
