We believe at PAQ, Inc. that our Employee Owners are our most valuable asset, and we currently have an opening for the position of IT Infrastructure Administrator at our RSC Lodi location. This is a full-time, exempt position that reports directly to the Director of Information Technology. The IT Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for coordinating and executing system migrations, providing administration and maintenance of end-user computers, and implementing software updates. The role involves supporting, monitoring, and maintaining servers (both cloud and local), desktop systems, applications, firewalls, switches, and routers, ensuring adherence to industry best practices to meet business objectives. The administrator will ensure that all PAQ production systems, databases, and file servers are properly backed up and tested according to PAQ IT policies. Additionally, the role includes managing Managed Service Providers (MSP) and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure they meet or exceed performance goals, acting as an escalation point for any issues that may arise. The IT Infrastructure Administrator will also establish, maintain, and document information security roles and access privileges for all organizational IT assets, perform security audits, and monitor performance to minimize outages to business operations. The position requires participation in planning and making recommendations for infrastructure strategies and architecture to align with business priorities and project needs. Reporting on system performance metrics and project progress to senior management is also a key responsibility. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Support, monitor and maintain servers (cloud or local), desktop systems, applications, firewalls, switches, routers ensuring industry best practices to meet business objectives.
  • Ensure all PAQ production systems, databases, file servers, etc. are properly backed up and tested per PAQ IT policies.
  • Manage MSP and establish proper key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure they meet or exceed performance goals and act as an escalation level for items the MSP may need assistance with.
  • Establish, maintain, and document information security roles and access privileges for all organizational IT assets.
  • Perform security audits and performance monitoring to ensure minimized outages to business operations.
  • Develop and maintain all necessary documentation for all network systems and settings per industry best practices and as directed.
  • Participate in planning and make recommendations for infrastructure strategies and architecture to align to business priorities and project needs.
  • Report on system performance metrics and project progress to senior management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience required.
  • Over five years of experience in IT infrastructure administration is required.
  • Experience working with networking, IP Telecommunication networks, protocols, standards, QoS and operations is required (5+ years preferred).
  • Significant experience with Microsoft Desktop, Server, and Cloud-based Technologies is required (5+ years preferred).
  • Experience administering and supporting AWS or Azure cloud environment (2+ Years Preferred).
  • Experience in Office365 and Microsoft 365 administration (2+ years).
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management (2+ years).
  • Experience with leading Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) technology (2+ years).
  • Experience working in an environment supporting internal customers using service desk (3+ years).
  • Strong writing skills and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SAN technologies.
  • Leadership experience in IT infrastructure management.
