About the position

As an IT Infrastructure Analyst at 3M in Decatur, AL, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's IT infrastructure. In this role, you will maintain site dashboards that track the status of computers, printers, servers, and networking equipment, as well as manage IT work tickets and address PC/Server vulnerabilities. A key aspect of your responsibilities will involve possessing knowledge of backup systems to ensure site data backup and disaster recovery needs are met. Additionally, you will be expected to respond to after-hours support calls to maximize resource uptime at the site. Responsibilities

  • Provide standard and local hardware support for workstations, laptops, tablets, printers, servers, and networking equipment.
  • Provide standard and local software support for VMware, Windows OS, MS Office suites, and security software.
  • Maintain site dashboards for computers, printers, servers, networking equipment, IT work tickets, and PC/Server vulnerabilities.
  • Possess knowledge of backup systems for site data backup and disaster recovery needs.
  • Respond to after-hours support calls to maximize site-related resource uptime.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
  • Five (5) years of experience working in Information Technology in a manufacturing, private, public, government, or military environment.
  • Experience with configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Microsoft PCs.
  • Experience with integrating process control equipment in a Lab and/or Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with HP Server, Cisco Network switches, Firewall hardware and software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology from an accredited institution (completed and verified prior to start).
  • Eight (8) years of experience working in Information Technology.
