About the position

The IT Infrastructure Architect is responsible for supporting the Aviation Enterprise System Support Team by implementing and integrating complex business systems. This role involves designing and architecting system interfaces, managing configuration, documentation, and administration, as well as ensuring disaster recovery plans are in place. The architect will also forecast budget needs for hardware and software, make procurement decisions, and ensure compliance with IT policies and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for the Aviation Enterprise System Support Team.
  • Implement and integrate complex business systems including design and architecture of system interfaces.
  • Manage configuration, documentation, administration, and monitoring of systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain detailed plans for systems disaster recovery and testing.
  • Plan and forecast budget needs for new hardware and software.
  • Make independent decisions regarding procurement of technical solutions.
  • Test, install, upgrade, and implement new software and hardware releases.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, standards, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with four years of experience, or a Master's degree with two years of experience.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License depending on assignment.
  • Experience in administering Windows System Server and Desktop Operating Systems.
  • Experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
  • Experience with Office 365 and VMware.
  • Experience in enterprise change management and disaster recovery processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in recommending and documenting IT architectures and processes.
  • Experience working in a 24/7 IT operation.
  • Ability to travel to multiple work locations.
