About the position

The IT Infrastructure/Cybersecurity Analyst will conduct a comprehensive assessment of the county's current IT infrastructure and cybersecurity risks, develop a strategic IT plan, and engage with stakeholders to align IT initiatives with the county's vision and goals. This role requires a strong focus on project management, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement to enhance the county's IT capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the county's current IT infrastructure, staffing, cybersecurity risks, and overall system reliability.
• Evaluate existing technology systems and identify areas for improvement or modernization.
• Analyze staffing levels and potential staffing needs to support the proposed IT strategy.
• Review and document disaster recovery and continuity of operations strategies.
• Develop a 3-year IT Strategic Plan that aligns with the county's vision and goals.
• Collaborate with the IT Director, department heads, and Board of Supervisors to incorporate feedback and priorities into the strategic plan.
• Provide a structured approach for IT governance, project prioritization, and performance metrics.
• Outline staffing, internal and external resources, and budgeting needed to implement the strategy.
• Facilitate meetings and interviews with the IT Director, department heads, and the Board of Supervisors to gather input and define the county's IT mission and vision.
• Present drafts of the strategic plan and revise based on feedback from key stakeholders.
• Provide bi-monthly project status updates to the IT Director and county leadership team.
• Deliver an inventory and analysis of the current IT infrastructure and technology systems.
• Prepare a prioritized list of recommendations for the county's IT needs, including estimated timeframes and costs for implementation.
• Present the final IT Strategic Plan to the county's leadership team and Board of Supervisors for approval.

Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience in project/program management, with a focus on IT strategy and planning.
• Experience in managing IT infrastructure and cybersecurity.
