About the position

H2 Performance Consulting (H2) is seeking an IT Infrastructure Project Coordinator to join our current contract supporting the Marine Corps Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) in New Orleans, LA. MARFORRES commands and controls assigned forces for the purposes of augmenting and reinforcing the Active Component with trained units and individual Marines as a sustainable and ready operational reserve in order to augment and reinforce active forces for employment across the full spectrum of crisis and global engagement. The Project Coordinator is responsible for the initiating, management, reporting, and communications for Marine Information Technology Infrastructure Projects, which include 161 sites. On average, the Project Coordinator will manage an estimated 28-30 IT infrastructure projects per month. This is a full-time position that will perform on client-site in New Orleans, LA, and requires an active secret clearance at the time of application. The IT Infrastructure Project Coordinator responsibilities include developing and documenting project plans, estimating effort and duration for all tasks required of a project, and establishing an overall project timeline with intermediate milestones and associated dates. The coordinator will develop metrics and measures designed to monitor the progress and success of a project, identify responsible parties for the execution of all project tasks, and document assigned responsibilities for a project. Additionally, the coordinator will identify and document all risks associated with a project and communicate all risks and associated impacts to all key stakeholders. The role also involves coordinating all interrelated activities required of disparate teams and team members, developing mechanisms to communicate ongoing progress, and monitoring the ongoing progress of project execution. The coordinator will identify potential obstacles or delays that could adversely affect project progress and communicate these to the Government Lead with recommended mitigation strategies. Furthermore, the coordinator will create and present briefs to senior leadership and the Government Lead to communicate project status and gain necessary decisions to maintain execution momentum. The position requires providing remediation when SharePoint & IIS infrastructure is found to be noncompliant with STIG checklist, applying patches within 14 days of release, and updating Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) items as necessary. All MITSC-RES ITIL processes and procedures shall be followed, and the coordinator will provide on-call support, responding to submitted trouble tickets during regular working hours. The role also includes providing design assistance to department site owners who create web content, operating in an agile development environment, and remediating all findings prior to established due dates for outstanding controls listed on the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and STIG Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M).

  • Manage MFR SharePoint Oversight Council conducting quarterly user meetings, webinars, and town hall meetings to discuss and improve user awareness and user experiences.
  • Perform all actions required to support the Authority to Operate (ATO) on DoD networks, which includes completing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) package provided by the USMC.
  • Provide support for annual approval of the applications in the Department of Defense Information Technology Portfolio Repository-Department of the Navy (DITPR-DON) annual record review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree relative to Information Technology.
  • Ten (10) years of direct Program/Project Management experience, including Project Management Methodologies, IT Infrastructure, and IT Deployment and Operational Methodologies.
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP), Masters in Project Management (MPM), or Professional in Project Management (PPM) certifications.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 certification - preferred.
  • Technical understanding of Network Engineering is preferred.
  • Facilities knowledge and experience; familiarity with design and build processes is preferred.
  • A current Secret security clearance.
