About the position

The IT Infrastructure Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing and supporting low-voltage system projects for the LAUSD project team. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills to ensure project success through effective task management and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Track and complete project-related tasks such as change orders, Requests for Clarification (RFCs), and other documentation in a timely manner.
• Serve as a liaison between project stakeholders, team members, and management, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the project manager to maintain project schedules, ensuring that deadlines and key milestones are met.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks that could impact the project's success.
• Create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant records.
• Track project progress, identify deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Address and resolve project-related issues and challenges promptly and efficiently to keep the project on track.
• Prepare and deliver regular project status reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to stakeholders.
• Provide administrative support to the project manager by scheduling meetings, managing project files, assisting with procurement, and reviewing estimates/proposals.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience working with low-voltage systems such as LAN, WLAN, VOIP/PA systems, surveillance systems, and intrusion detection systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Familiarity with the educational environment and school-related projects.
• Experience in a similar role working on infrastructure or IT projects.
