About the position

The IT Infrastructure Project Manager I is responsible for managing advanced level project management from initiation through completion for strategic investments across the enterprise. This role involves working with key stakeholders to define project scope and objectives, ensuring projects are documented and executed effectively to meet business needs and mitigate risks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in managing critical day-to-day program/project elements including project vision/objectives, financials, scope, quality, schedule, resourcing, vendor management, dependencies, risks, status reporting, stakeholder engagement, business readiness/change management, and value realization.
  • Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes while ensuring appropriate communication among project stakeholders.
  • Manage projects through the project lifecycle, documenting the project charter, roles, tasks, and measures of success, while evaluating progress and quality.
  • Ensure adherence to Truist Project Office and other applicable Corporate policies and processes.
  • Proactively develop innovative approaches, risk mitigation strategies, quality control, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide feedback to group managers regarding the work performance of team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or technology-related field, or equivalent education and related training.
  • Six years of project management experience with increasing complexity of projects and responsibilities within a professional environment, including eight years of applicable business experience.
  • Knowledge in software development lifecycle in an enterprise environment.
  • Goal-oriented and action-focused.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
  • Objective, transparent, fact-based, and value-focused communication style.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently toward goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and changing demands.
  • Proven ability to direct the efforts of others.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and advancing towards Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Three years of financial services-related experience managing large complex enterprise program initiatives.
  • General knowledge of infrastructure.
