About the position

The IT Infrastructure Project Manager at Fisher Investments plays a crucial role in managing a variety of infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently and meet business requirements. This position involves overseeing multiple Scrum teams and coordinating efforts among team members and third-party contractors to achieve project success. The role requires strong project management skills, including budget management, risk assessment, and quality control, while also providing training and support to user groups.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage a full range of projects, including larger and more complex corporate or departmental projects.
  • Organize and complete projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and managing budgets.
  • Define project vision, scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management.
  • Create and maintain all timelines and budgets related to projects.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and planning.
  • Assess requirements for project completion, including implementation of solutions.
  • Coordinate efforts of all participants and resolve potential issues.
  • Evaluate impact of new situations and proposed modifications on budgets and timelines.
  • Proactively manage risks by creating contingency and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure proper documentation for each project and assist with Scrum Master responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure and Operations Project Management.
  • Understanding of the impact of infrastructure and operational efforts on clients and customers.
  • Experience with medium to large projects involving IT Infrastructure technologies such as cloud, network, telecom, systems engineering, data center, and storage in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Experience in JIRA, MS Project, and Project Portfolio Management tools.
  • Experience in Scrum/Agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, or other science field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing projects in both Scrum/Agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Established relationships with management staff, employees, clients, and consultants.
