The IT Infrastructure Technical Project Manager will oversee and manage the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and data centers. They will lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and support staff. The role also involves planning, executing, and overseeing IT infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, the manager will monitor and forecast infrastructure capacity needs to ensure scalability and performance, implement and enforce security policies, manage vendor relationships, maintain comprehensive documentation, develop disaster recovery plans, and manage budgets for infrastructure projects. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The IT Infrastructure Technical Project Manager must also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Understanding cybersecurity principles and practices is essential to protect the IT infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and data centers.
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and support staff.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee IT infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and forecast infrastructure capacity needs to ensure scalability and performance.
  • Implement and enforce security policies and practices to protect the IT infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Manage relationships with hardware and software vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Develop and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure data integrity and availability in case of a failure.
  • Develop and manage budgets for infrastructure projects and operational costs.
  • Track SLA compliance and performance metrics, regular SLA reporting and performance review with team and client.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is usually required.
  • Several years of experience in IT infrastructure roles, with a background in servers, storage, networking, and data centers.
  • Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud services.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a technical team.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects efficiently, including managing resources and timelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
