The IT Integration Engineer plays a crucial role in the development and management of data integration processes within the organization. This position requires an individual who can independently develop programs, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data. The engineer will utilize tools such as Visual Studio Development, NPR, Crystal Reports, MS SQL, and various scripting languages to accomplish these tasks. A significant aspect of the role involves SQL Server database administration, which includes designing and creating standard database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, indexes, and ensuring referential integrity. The engineer must also be proficient in using SQL Server Management Studio and have a strong understanding of SQL data retrieval and manipulation. In addition to database management, the IT Integration Engineer will be responsible for performing data analysis to support both ad-hoc and standing customer requests. This may involve analyzing, designing, documenting, testing, troubleshooting, coordinating implementation, and providing technical support for HL7 interfaces between Health Information Systems (HIS) and ancillary application systems. The role may also require setting up and supporting SFTP connections. The engineer will work on multiple project requests simultaneously, leading system/application testing alongside end users and collaborating with the PMO Office when necessary. This position may involve leading a team on assigned projects and orchestrating efforts between IT, end users, and vendors, ensuring that necessary updates are communicated to the PMO Office. The IT Integration Engineer will also be tasked with using and supporting various applications and analytical tools, evaluating data quality, and maintaining operations. This includes researching new data sources and analytical tools, contributing to product development, and improving product delivery and presentation. The engineer must develop an awareness of issues affecting customers and perform process improvements for existing and new production workflows. Effective communication and assistance to hospital associates regarding hospital operations are essential, and the engineer may serve as a department liaison when needed.
