About the position

The IT Intern - Platform and Database Administration role is a temporary position designed for students or recent graduates to gain practical experience in the field of information technology. This intern will work primarily in a remote capacity, supporting the platform and database administration teams by developing and automating processes, as well as maintaining existing systems. The position is scheduled for the summer of 2025 and requires occasional onsite travel within the MCHS service area.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing, building, implementing, and maintaining information systems for various areas including patient care, financial, clinical, and research.
• Support the platform and database administration teams in automating processes.
• Participate in various phases of the development process under the guidance of senior personnel.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or recent graduate in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Applied Math, Management Information Systems, or Web Development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• High grades or evidence of academic success.
• Experience with programming training.
• Knowledge of C++, C#, or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience with personal computers using Microsoft operating systems.
