About the position

The IT Internship at PACCAR offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in IT operations within a leading manufacturing company. This role is designed for individuals pursuing degrees in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields, and aims to develop their skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT service to Kenworth Employees
• Install, maintain, and support PC infrastructure including hardware and software
• Assist customers with troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues
• Identify and resolve complex technical problems involving PCs and related hardware and software
• Assist with analysis of IT projects, including the definitions of requirements and acceptance criteria
• Assist with creation of project plans for upcoming projects
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to enhance department operations

Requirements

• Demonstrable problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced environment
• Computer hardware and/or software troubleshooting experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Progress in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related programs
• Junior or senior standing preferred
