About the position
The IT Lead Data Lake Engineer at Zimmer Biomet is responsible for leading data analytics consultations, designing solutions, and implementing projects that leverage data lake and data warehouse technologies. This role involves collaborating with business partners and directing offshore resources to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining data integrity and compliance. The engineer will also drive process and technology improvements in partnership with various teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead business partner data analytics needs consultation and solution design.
- Implement solutions leveraging and directing offshore resources.
- Define project scope and develop scalable design solutions.
- Deliver successful implementations on time and within budget.
- Ensure data integrity, compliance, and security in all solutions delivered.
- Partner with Data Analytics, IT, and Business teams to drive process and technology improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field, or foreign equivalent.
- 6 years of experience in the job offered or related position.
- Knowledge of Big Data, Hadoop, Cloud, and Analytics solutions.
- Experience with Azure, AWS Cloud, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in Python or Spark, Data Bricks, Alteryx, or Data Robot.
- Foundational knowledge of ERP transaction processes.
- Experience with structured/unstructured/streaming data pipelines into Cloud.
- Proficiency in shell scripting or scripting technologies such as Scala, Python, Java, or SQL.
- Knowledge of data privacy rules/regulations, including GDPR or HIPAA.
- Exposure to SAP.
