About the position

The IT Management Specialist role is a contract-to-hire position focused on providing IT benchmarking assessment support. The specialist will engage in pre-assessment activities, collect and analyze data, and develop standard operating procedures to enhance the IT benchmarking program. This position requires a strong background in IT management and project management, along with specific certifications and security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Performs IT benchmarking pre-assessment visit activities including customer interviews and evaluating responses from questionnaires.
• Provides Benchmarking Assessment visit support, recording comments and feedback during interviews and generating presentations for senior officials.
• Collects, analyzes, and creates a final report with observations, recommendations, and alternatives for best practices.
• Develops and delivers IT benchmarking standard operating procedures, processes, templates, and tools for the process library.

Requirements

• Must possess an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) version 3 (V3) certification.
• Experience using ServiceNow (SNOW).
• Three years of practical experience in information technology management.
• IT project management experience using Microsoft tools.
• Knowledge in managing IT services and strategies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Project, and Office Suite.
• Self-starter with a positive team attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to provide quality information in meeting notes and action items.
• Must possess IT-III security clearance or a current National Agency Check with written inquiries.

Nice-to-haves

• Preference for PMP or CSM certifications.
• Previous experience with the DLA or DOD.
