About the position

This IT Manager role leads the Device Operations team within the Digital Workplace Technology organization, ensuring effective delivery of service and projects related to endpoint management. The position is responsible for operational support services globally, managing a team to maintain operational readiness, infrastructure maintenance, vulnerability remediation, and compliance. The leader will act as a technical expert, overseeing services including Windows and MacOS device management, Virtual Desktop management, and IoT security.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in defining, prioritizing, and implementing automation and self-service solutions to enhance user support.
  • Manage the design, build, test, and deployment of multi-tier on-premise and cloud-based solutions for end user services.
  • Build and lead a geographically dispersed team of infrastructure engineers and system administrators, mentoring for high performance.
  • Create and maintain strategic plans aligning with Digital Workplace Technology and business strategies.
  • Sponsor or manage operations projects, effectively reporting status including risks and decisions.
  • Hold third-party vendors accountable through partnership-based relationships.
  • Support peers and management to fulfill operational service levels and project deliverables.
  • Document high-quality roadmaps, strategies, and project plans to enhance departmental knowledge.
  • Organize work and improvement ideas through Agile iterative planning and execution.
  • Learn and follow change and release management processes.
  • Apply a risk-based approach to work prioritization and delivery, assessing technology solutions for risk.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for multiple technology stack components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Applications development, applications analysis or systems engineering OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Applications development, applications analysis or systems engineering.
  • Previous leadership for technical implementation.
  • Knowledge of Standard Development Life Cycles (like Waterfall or Agile).
  • Knowledge of system and data design.
  • 3+ years working with MECM, JAMF, Intune, Citrix, and Active Directory.
  • 2+ years working on an endpoint operations or engineering team in the financial industry.
  • 1+ years in an Agile delivery environment.
  • 1+ years using Jira, Confluence or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with the FFIEC Architecture, Infrastructure, and Operations Book.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced product knowledge of MECM, Intune, Windows 10 and 11 servicing, Office ProPlus servicing, Powershell, Azure, Active Directory, vSphere, Citrix, and JAMF.
  • Experience managing technical teams in a medium to large organization.
  • Proven ability to mentor and grow the skillsets of team members.
  • Experience managing third-party outsourcing providers to deliver global services.
  • Advanced management of Windows infrastructure.
