About the position

The PMO Manager at CompSource Mutual Insurance Company is a leadership role focused on enhancing project management capabilities within the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the development and completion of projects in the project portfolio, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and enterprise-wide governance standards. The PMO Manager will play a crucial role in coaching project teams, improving transparency, efficiency, and business value of projects, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and completion of projects in the CompSource project portfolio.
  • Provide insight into the project portfolio and lead the organization and scheduling of projects.
  • Coach project teams in delivering expected business value according to plan.
  • Define project delivery methodologies that align with industry best practices.
  • Ensure project teams follow enterprise-wide governance standards and controls for project delivery.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience as an IT Project Manager or in a role with increasing responsibility for project management within the IT field.
  • 2+ years of Project Management Office supervisory experience.
  • 1 year minimum experience as a Scrum Master on a software agile team.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or closely related field preferred; 4 years of additional experience required in lieu of required education.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or comparable Agile certifications.
